With Valentine's Day in the month of February, I have spent some time talking with Andrew about love. God's love for us; how we show love; who we love; who loves us, etc.
As we were making Valentine's for the grandparents (yes, that is you mama!), I asked Andrew to name people he loves and we would print their names on the heart-shaped valentine. His first response? "God". How precious!! And, to add to the precious-ness, he then held his hands out and asked in the sweetest voice, "Where is He? Where is He, mama?"
And, the biggest break-through/milestone/special moment?
As I was changing Andrew's diaper, I told him how Baby Ben was sick and coughing. As soon as he got down off the changing table, he jumped on the bed where Baby Ben was laying and gave him the sweetest hug. Not the steam-roll/dog-pile/let me see if I do this, what will you do hug. But a genuine hug. And? He looked at Baby Ben and said, "I love you Baby Ben." Totally unprompted. It melted my heart.

How sweet!!! Don't you just love moments like that!!!
Brothers are so sweet. Boys are so sweet. And we know the "steam-roll/dog-pile/let me see if I do this, what will you do" hug well. Those are, in their own way, sweet too. Even if they are a bit terrifying.
