The Ward Boys

Rob and I always joke that someday people are going to begin stories with, "Well. Those Ward boys......". And if this recent antic is any indication, we are going to have our fair share of "Ward Boys Tales".

On this particular afternoon, I was feeding Ben a snack and preparing dinner. (Hello. My name is Christy Ward. If I am not multi-tasking, I am not being efficient. or a mother for that matter.). I handed Ben a Letter Cookie (not the official name) that I bought at Trader Joe's for Andrew, but discovered they are perfect for little ones just beginning to eat table foods. I set the tub of cookies on the counter and resumed my duties at the counter/stove/sink. Andrew runs in the kitchen and I hand him a cookie and return to dinner.

A few seconds go by. I hear Andrew talking to Baby Ben and Ben laughing. Sub-conciously I hear Andrew rummage around with the cookie jar on the counter, but because I didn't hear 50 cookies crumble on the floor, I really didnt pay much attention to this and continue focusing my attention on preparing a very nutritious dinner for my family.

Then I hear Andrew say something along the lines of, "Look, mama. Baby Ben wants more cookies."

I turn to find this:
And how did Ben manage to get a whole tub of cookies in his lap?
His generous, thoughtful brother brought them to him. Of course.
Yep. The Ward Boys. That's what they'll say.
