I Feel Like I Deserve an Award, Or At Least a Giant Bowl of Cereal, for Surviving this Day

OH. MY. WORD.

I knew it was gonna be a long day when Andrew replied, "I don't like tv" as I was trying to get him to eat his breakfast and out the door for Mother's Morning Out.

Mondays always surprise me. I expect to be refreshed from having my wonderful husband around all weekend. He is a huge help with the kids, house, and yard. And, usually, I can squeeze in time for a nap on Sundays. And the grocery shopping is done. Yet, it never fails, that Mondays tend to be.....well, rough. Maybe we are all adjusting to getting back into a routine, missing Rob, and recovering from any weekend activities. But whatever it is, I can't seem to tackle Mondays without being completely wiped out by the end of the day.

As if Monday's weren't hectic enough, the Monday after a time change begins are especially brutal. DST Syndrome. Daylight Savings Time. Ouch.

So yeah. It was a long day. It was one of those days when I felt like I was either disciplining, nursing, or trying to get someone to sleep. And the latter? Let's just say naps weren't high on the boys priority list in their over-tired state.

I did manage to get everyone to sleep tonight. And tomorrow? Is Tuesday. A new day. And it will be better than today.

DST is brutal! I am worn out with nothing to show for it! At least it's not as bad as going back an hour like in the fall so we don't have to retrain our children to sleep past six a.m.
