Game On

There is a book on Amazon that I want. Real bad. We are studying the book with my Tuesday Morning Mama's group. Because most of the people who read my blog are also in this group, I won't go into to much detail about the Tuesday Morning Mama's. And the name is self-explanatory. But to those that don't know, each Tuesday, a group of mama's meet to discuss all things "mama-ing". Not to gripe and complain, but to learn more about God's will for us as mama's. We are led by a mother to five boys. Five boys, ya'll! So I think she knows what she is talking about!

One book we are currently discussing is out of print. Apparently a Christian blogger blogged about the book and everyone wanted it. And it became in high demand. Did I mention it was out of print?

Everyday for the past few weeks, I have been checking Amazon for this book. You see, while Amazon does have copies of this book for sale, the prices are, well, crazy high. In my opinion. I have seen a "New" copy of the book going for as much as $200 and the "Used" versions for around $50.

And then, last Saturday, I randomly checked Amazon. And guess what? A "Used" copy of the book was on sale for $22.00!! Now, one would think that I would have immediately jumped all over that book and place my order! But, nope, not me. I just knew that this low price was an indication that the price of this book was about to come down. I thought that if I waited a few more days, I could get the book for half of the current $22 price tag.

A few days went by. I checked Amazon again. The $22 book was gone. And in it's place? Fifty dollar used books.

I guess my inclination was wrong. I still can't bring myself to spend fifty bucks on a used book, so I will continue waiting. And checking Amazon. But, you can bet, that if I see that book for less than $30 I will be ordering it!!

After this entirely too long story about a book that I am unwilling to pay for, you probably want to know the name of this $200, out of print book. Yeah. I'm not gonna tell you. Because you just may find the book on Amazon for $30 and beat me to it.
