I was feeling very discontent, frustrated, and hopeless last night and this morning after the election results.
When I checked my email this morning, Rob had sent the following message. These are his words, not mine:
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chron. 7:14
This verse seems to keep coming up to me. It seems more applicable this morning than ever given where our country might be 4 years from now. However, the verse above gives hope. Christians in our nation seem content to sit idly by as one value after another is thrown by the wayside. But, this is the same God who created the universe, parted the Red Sea and raised Christ from the dead. He can handle this – and if we believe the verse above – He is just waiting for us to ask.
This was on my mind this morning and I thought I would share."
I believe God gave this country what it deserved. Not what we needed. What we deserved. However, He wants us back, ya'll. We just have to ask.
I am finding myself more convicted than ever to begin to pray now for our President-Elect. The website, Presidential Prayer Team, has a wonderful way to pray for our new President, 77 Days of Prayer. I just signed up to recieve an email each day for the next 77 days with specific ways to pray for the elected President of the United States.
I also found this post, United House, at Living Proof Ministries to be uplifting.
While we will never be able to find content, peace, and hope in a mortal man, one truth we cannot change is the peace and hope that is available through our Father.
My day is already brighter..........

Thank you Christy...
Thank you!
I was feeling the same way this morning when I woke up. But He reminded me that He is still on His throne, and He is no different today than He was yesterday. He can use whatever and whomever He chooses to draw us back to Himself.
Thank you for this reminder! Very wise and insightful!
