Today is Andrew's first birthday, and my first child's first birthday!! When Andrew was born, everyone told us that this year would fly by, they grow up so fast, etc., etc. During those first few months of long nights and endless crying, I truly could not wait for him to "grow up". Now, looking back, I realize that this past year really has flown by. It seems like just yeserday we were coming home from the hospital, trying every tactic possible to get Andrew to sleep, celebrating as if he had won a gold medal at the Olympics when he rolled over and sat up, babyproofing the house frantically when he began crawling, and meticulously planned his first birthday party (which actually was just this weekend).
We have been so busy this summer that I have not had a chance to update with pictures, but I will get to that next week when we are back in town from visiting Rob's sister in Mississippi. It will be our first long road trip with Andrew. We are actually renting a minivan with Rob's parents and all driving together to Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Say a prayer for us........;) and have a wonderul 4th of July weekend!!
