Blog Update

I am guilty!! I was just checking up on another blog and began to complain when the page appeared, and I realized that the blog has not been updated in a week. I was just about to comment this lack of updating to the author when I realized that my own blog has not been updated in a week. So, here I am to update!!



This past weekend, my cousins and I got together at the lake. We left the kids at home and just had an "adult weekend". Which really means that everyone acts like "kids" ;) But, it is such fun being a kid. We all met up on Friday evening. Those of us who got there earlier went on a "sunset" cruise. The remainder of the evening was filled with food and games. We love to play the board game Cranium. And, we play boys vs. girls. The girls were determined to win this year (after an upsetting loss last year). I am proud to say that not only did we beat the boys, we totally killed them!! It wasn't even funny how bad we beat them!!



Saturday, we spent most of the day on the boat and at an island that has a beach. The boys weren't up for another Cranium beating that night. Sunday, we cleaned the house and all headed home. It was such a fun weekend. We all get along and really love spending time together. This year the girls decided to swap books that we had read this past year and recipes that we always cook for our families. I have some good books and great recipes to try!

We are having a low key this week and weekend. Then, we are off to Huntsville to host a baby shower for my friend, Leslie. We can't wait to see our friends at the shower and celebrate the upcoming arrival of baby Clay.
