Fussy Time

Andrew has a "fussy time" during the day. Usually late afternoon between his snack and before he goes to bed. I have heard that most babies have a fussy period during the day; however, I have never seen another baby during his/her fussy time, so I am not sure if that statement is true ;)
During the late afternoon, Andrew is fussy, whining, crying....no matter what I do. With one exception: if anybody else is around Andrew during his usual "fussy time", his behavior is golden, perfect, content. Seriously, if my mom (Gigi) comes over and plays with Andrew, he behaves like a different baby--perfectly happy and content playing with her or both of us. No crying or whining, and he will play and play. If Rob plays with Andrew during this normal "fussy time", Andrew will play without crying and without wanting to change activities every 10 seconds.
This change in behavior made me start thinking. I wonder if Andrew is just tired of playing with ME at the end of the day?!!

If it makes you feel any better, Eli can be happy all day long when I'm gone, and then I walk in the room....happy time over. I think I make him whine. Go figure.

Oh yeah, it's a known fact that that particular time period is a miserable time of day for mothers everywhere. Don't know why, it just is. Sorry. I usually do a movie then. IT kind of helps take the edge off.

I wish I could say that it goes away, but it doesn't. My 10 year still has a fussy time of the day...4:00 - 6:00...homework time. :)
