My uncle recently informed me that I need to stop writing about my wonderful husband. You know, how he likes to clean, works hard for our family, and loves his family. According to my uncle, "those girls from Albany are vicious, and they will try to snatch him up because he is too perfect". So here is the truth.....
Andrew woke up puking on Monday night. We heard a funny cough and when I went to check on him, puke was all over Andrew and his crib. I called for Rob to help. While I put Andrew in the tub, Rob changed the pukey crib sheets, wiped puke off the bumper, cleaned the carpet where puke had gotten on the floor, started a load of puked-on crib sheets and burp cloths in the washer, and set up the pack-n-play in our bedroom. He then ran to the grocery store and picked up some Pedialyte for Andrew.....at 11pm!!
On Wednesday, I called Rob at 3:00pm because I was feeling quite queasy. He rushed home just in time for me to get sick. As I was hanging over the toilet for three hours, he played with Andrew, took Andrew and the dog on a long walk, and fed, bathed, and put Andrew down to sleep. He even got up during the middle of the night when Andrew woke up unexpectedly.
But.....here's the truth for my uncle and the women of Albany, my husband in not 100% perfect: Rob refused to cuddle with me after I stopped puking. That's right people, my husband did not even sleep in the same bed with his wife who had the virus!! I mean, it was only a virus (that ended up sending my mom to the ER that very same night). Who wouldn't want to share a bed with the woman they love after she has been puking for three hours? My husband, that's who.
And...he hasn't gotten sick....yet!!

Yep, that ruins his image of perfect! :) I'm so glad you had such good help. The first time my babies threw up was so traumatic. It totally freaked me out. Chuck was great about it too.
I'm sorry. What part of that was not perfect? That was smart, I have to say. I wouldn't have cuddled with you either. Throwing up is not fun! Glad you're better!
eeewwww!! Yeah, I agree - smart. That is definitely something that I do not miss - cleaning up a puked on crib, bumper pad, bottom sheet, sleeper, baby, myself, the stuff toy that is only surface washable and then having to put it everything back together again ONLY to have it happen again 16 hours later!!!
