Today?

I had high hopes of playdates and projects today. The Y, playdate at BK with my lovely Sunday School class mommies, and then a pad party tonight. With a few errands in between.

We accomplished the Y. And upon lifting Andrew out of his carseat, I realized Andrew's entire body was.....hot. A good 15 minutes after leaving the Y's Tot Lot (the older kids get to go outside and play). And when he walked in the door? He went straight to the mat below the kitchen sink and laid there until I scooped up his hot little body and placed him on the couch.

Ben, who woke up crankier than ever, with a runny nose and cutting four teeth, is also down for a nap.

I have one lethargic three year old on the couch and one cranky almost one year old down for a nap. And it's only 11 in the morning.

Is it wrong that I am a "touch" excited that I have time in the morning to dash off a post, catch up with my favorite blog peeps, and even check and respond to emails??!! In the morning!! And after I do all that? I am going to join my son in watching Curious George and fold five loads of laundry.

And the icing on the cake of this day not going according to my schedule? My mama just called and offerd to run a few errands for me, bring us lunch, and then possibly keep the kids while I run a few errands of my own!

Here's to TODAY!

Updated to Add: Wow! I really hope I didn't come across as being giddy over the fact that my son had a fever. But...while he was asleep for four hours this morning/afternoon, I was able to get a pedicure while my mama stayed with the kids. And fold five loads of laundry. And put them away. And spend some one-on-one time with Baby Ben. Andrew's condition didn't improve much until his bedtime. Then all the medicine and sleep decided to kick in, and now we are trying to figure out what to do with him. Nonetheless, we will be making a trip to the doctor tomorrow morning. For that $30 sucker.

I know it's terrible to say, but my favorite "sickness" is when it's a fever with no bodily fluids involved. Aside from your children feeling pitiful, it's really quite pleasant.

You make me laugh! :) We missed you tonight at the pad party...and are praying for Andrew! ...but, I'm glad, in the midst of it all, you had a productive and seemingly relaxing day!
