Easter, Part Two ( Or I Might Be to Blame if My Sons Refuse to Play Soccer)

On Saturday of Easter weekend, we headed to Camilla for yet another egg hunt. This would be Andrew's third hunt of the season. The hunt was held in my grandparents neighborhood, and children from all over the neighborhood hunted in the neighbors' yards. We went from house to house hunting for eggs! It was such a cute idea and the kids had the best time.

This is the hunt where Rob and I started to get a little concerned about Andrew's lack of effort/zeal/competitiveness in the hunting of eggs. And, if Rob is concerned about an egg hunt, the concern is legit.

Andrew wasn't running and snatching up the eggs like we thought he would. He would stroll to the egg, look at it, carefully bend down to pick it up, and......an older kid would snatch the egg right out from under him. Now, to the older kid's credit, they would realize that they had just taken an egg away from a two year old and they would toss the egg in Andrew's basket. But still. Andrew wasn't as enthusiastic about the hunt as we had hoped. By the last yard, I knew we had gone overboard when we were exclaiming to Andrew, "You have to grab the eggs fast and put them in your basket!! Come on Andrew. Just grab the eggs!! Pick up the eggs!!"

Let's just say Rob and I needed the juice box and cookie break more than our son!
(Just put the eggs in your basket!)
Great-grand parents

After the hunt, we headed to mama's house to play in her new pool and grill out with family. Yes. It is the beginning of April and the pool is still ice-cold. Obviously that matters little to a two year old!
Saturday was a wonderful day visiting with family! But we still had one more egg hunt to go! Would Andrew hunt with more gusto on Sunday? Would his parent's totally lose it if he didn't meet their expectations? Is his mama crazy? (Okay don't answer that one)
