A Warning Label

This two year old may (most likely) have a meltdown on Christmas Day from the month-long "celebrations" that accompany the holiday season.

Who ever decided that the holiday season should be celebrated for four weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas day obviously did not have a two year old.

The staying up late, high fructose corn syrup, parties, Christmas programs, presents, traveling, missed naps, and then bronchitis, did not agree with my two year old. At All.

Which lead to a complete meltdown on Christmas Day. Of course.

Well, not a meltdown in the technical sense. But, a tired, grumpy toddler.

And, is it terrible that I am glad the holidays are over also? I am ready to get my family healthy and back on some sort of schedule or routine. I am exhausted from dealing with a two year old and a newborn in addition to the the staying up late, high fructose corn syrup, parties, Christmas programs, presents, traveling, missed naps, and then bronchitis.

Maybe my New Year's Resolution should be to take more time to enjoy the holidays. Less going and doing and more enjoying?! But, how to do that?
