I have really been slacking on this posting thing lately. While I am keeping up with blogs of other people, I have not been keeping up with my own! I have plenty to write about, but no creative energy to write.
We are beginning week two of Andrew's two week break between summer MMO and fall MMO. He starts back next Wednesday in a new room with a new teacher. His reluctance (i.e. kicking, screaming fits) at being left with new people has me a little worried about how this is all gonna go down next Wednesday. We are planning on attending the open house on Tuesday. And stay for the entire hour. Maybe that will help with the transition.
All that to say, I was also worried that the two week break was going to be tough on mama. You know, having to come up with different ideas/outings/crafts to entertain my two year old. To my surprise, I really haven't had to be that creative. We have been busy enough with errands, day trips to Camilla, and visiting friends that we have kept ourselves pretty busy. Very busy, in fact. So busy that not only is Andrew worn out at nap time, but so is mama!
When I even mentioned his nap to him today, 30 minutes before his usual nap time, he ran to his room and hopped up on his red chair ready to read books! That boy was TIRED!
It must be all this new-found independence that is wearing him out. "I do it" and "I big boy" are his favorite phrases. And woe to the person who tries to help him with anything. In fact, I think even uttering the word "help" will guarantee a "Nooooo. I do it. I big boy".
I hope to have pictures and a pregnancy update later this week. Third trimester in the sweltering heat while dealing with a two year old.....fun times.
