And Now it is Time for a Nap

After a week of VBS last week, a weekend get away to the beach with college girlfriends was just what I needed. As soon as the VBS program ended, Andrew and I raced home to eat lunch and pack my bags. Rob's parents arrived shortly after, and I believe I shoved Andrew in their arms and raced out the door.

I may have left tire marks as I peeled out of the driveway.

I arrived at St. Simon's Island about three hours later to find my friends already on the beach. What a way to start the weekend....on the beach!

The five of us gals had a blast remembering college days, eating good seafood, and catching up. We all commented on how long it had been since we had laughed so hard. Of course, we now have jobs, husbands, babies, bills, and other worries which sometimes put a damper on a good, hard laugh. It's not like college when all we had to worry about was getting to class on time and who we were going to ask to a date night.

Because all I have to look forward to is food these days, I think I put a dent in the seafood supply on the island. In fact, after finishing my workout this morning, I caught a reflection of myself in a window. I was shocked. Where did that come from?! As if I don't have a baby growing inside me. I will spare you the baby bump photos, because while I get them, I don't get into them.

Speaking of my pregnancy, it continues to go great and uneventful. I have been surprised at how tired I continue to be. I even asked my midwife about my constant fatigue. I explained how I wasn't this tired when I was pregnant and working with Andrew. Of course she reminded me that even though I was working, I wasn't physically chasing or emotionally handling a toddler. Apparently toddlers make you tired. Even more so when you are pregnant. Geesh. Would I be able to survive being pregnant with two children if we decide to have a third baby? I guess we ( I --- who am I kidding?! It's not like Rob will be making a whole other person while also chasing toddlers!) will cross that bridge if we come to it.
