Increase

Besides crying and poopy diapers, we have seen a dramatic increase in two areas since the arrival of Baby Ben.

1). Laundry: I don't know how adding an 8 pound human to the family can significantly increase one's laundry load, but it has happened. I may do a load of laundry everyday. Before the baby? I did laundry once a week. I like it that way. Doing laundry everyday? Not so much fun. Of course it may have something to do with the fact that Ben has a tendency to pee-pee on his clothes and blankets. And when he tinkles on my favorite swaddling blankets, Miracle Blanket, they have to be washed. Immediately.

2). Andrew: Everything about him seems "bigger". I think he has gained at least 10 pounds since I came home from the hospital. Or at least he feels that much heavier when I hold him now. His hands, shoes, clothes, language all seem so big boyish and mature. Even his poopy diapers, which didn't bother me two weeks ago, have suddenly become huge and gross. Those diapers alone make me want to get him potty trained! And just today? He asked me The Question......"WHY?" My firstborn is growing up, I think.

This made me laugh! Poopy diapers are REALLY gross when they've been potty trained for a while and then have an "accident".

It really is amazing how much bigger they look when they're the big brother.
