I don't even recognize myself anymore.
Maybe it's Andrew's age. Maybe it's me becoming more comfortable in my mama-role. Maybe it was inevitable.....maybe this is just what families do.
But, it is all new to me.
I have begun to actually search out fun, entertaining activities for our whole family to enjoy doing together. Activities that would entertain me, Rob, Andrew, and sometimes, Bentley. (Okay, really, if Andrew is entertained and having fun, Rob and I are pretty happy!)
I have found myself scouring the paper looking for events that might interest Andrew. This weekend we were lucky and the Albany Model Airplane Club was holding a free demonstration of their model planes. Because Andrew is really into planes right now, I knew he would love it. Rob and I would love nothing more than to watch our son see something new and exciting.
And, he did love the model planes. "Ane. Ane", he said as he pointed to all the planes. He tried to sneak away from us to touch one, but we had him figured out. Next to the field of model planes was a barn of.....tractors! Andrew's other latest obsession! We looked at the tractors for a bit before he figured out that the ground around the field and barn was covered in.....rocks! So most of our time was spent picking up and throwing rocks while attending the show. At least he was having a good time!
