The One Industry that is Recession Proof: Children's Clothes

I switched out Andrew's winter and spring clothes today. And by "switch" I mean I put up his 18 month old winter clothes and hung up his new 24 month spring/summer clothes. Because the thing about children's clothes is that they outgrow them every season! Not like adult clothes where you are praying you can still fit into that great pair of winter white pants that you have had for 5 years.

Children get a whole new wardrobe every season (and sometimes mid-season, if they have a growth spurt!). Thankfully, for our budget and husband's sanity sake, I was able to purchase the bulk of Andrew's spring/summer clothes at a consignment sale. For $60. That raincoat on this week's Wordless Wednesday? Five dollars at the consignment sale!
