Best News Ever

I have GREAT news. An answer to a year long prayer.

Rob's company (Brasfield and Gorrie...okay, not actually his company, but the company he works for) was offered the job of rebuilding the hospital in Americus that was destroyed in a 2005 tornado. Rob will, of course, be the project manager in charge of the construction which will begin this summer and end in the spring of 2011.

This awesome news means:
A). We get to stay in Albany...for at least two more years, anyway. While we are loving being near my family and are enjoying new friendships, we believe that God has us here for a purpose. His purpose. We are excited about what He has in store for us, in this city, for the next two years!

B). Job security for Rob. We know he has a job for the next two years. This is such a relief, especially in these difficult economic times. Rob's industry has definitely been impacted by the recession. If companies don't have the funds to build, expand, renovate....they will not need a construction company to help them build, expand, renovate! We continue consider ourselves very blessed that not only does Rob have a job, but also his job allows me an opportunity to stay at home with Andrew (Job security for me, also!)

C). Job security for Brasfield and Gorrie. I have already mentioned that construction companies actually need buildings to build, expand, and renovate. Because of the economy, many building projects have lost funding. The few projects that are currently funded to be built, are wanted by every construction company! As a company, B&G is very blessed to have been offered this huge job!

We are just elated that Rob will be working on the hospital in Americus. And, we will still be in Albany. Right where God wants us.
