At This Rate, I'm Gonna Need Another Tree

Ya'll. My son is a budding artiste. Move over Picasso and Monet. Take notice Metropolitan Museum of Art. Andrew Ward's art is "the" art for 2009. Just check out his Christmas work:
Really. Just look at the way the Popsicle sticks are expertly glued to form a face and antlers. Sheer genius. And, how modern of Andrew to include a random red star for an eyebrow and a green star boogie.
I can just see Andrew's tiny hands now, working diligently to form this candy cane from.....pipe cleaners! It must have taken at least half an hour to intertwine three different colors into the perfect cane shape.

And for the finale. A self-portrait, of course. Note the "too cool for school" expression. Priceless, really. And, what a master with the scissors! This piece leaves me speechless.

I don't know what your kids are learning at preschool, but Andrew is learning how to make art. Real art.....at least that's what we call his "pieces" in my house!

That is definite talent. The candy cane is perfection!

I love it! Only on a blog can we get away with bragging about our children like that and everybody thinks it's great. It's one of my favorite things. Andrew truly is talented. Maybe you should get him an agent?

Oh my....he is really really good. I love how he even wrote "FUMC 2008" on the self portrait....talent is among you.
