My friend and fellow blogger, Marce, gave Andrew a children's music cd. Andrew loves music!! Which really comes as a surprise to me because I am not what you would call "musically inclined". Musically challenged is more like my speed. Now, ya'll know childen's music can make you want to pull your hair out after a few listens. In fact, sometimes I think "if I hear, or have to sing, Itsy Bitsy Spider one more time just go ahead and commit me!"
But, this cd is actually something we both can listen to and enjoy. In fact, I love it!! "Why Not Sea Monsters? Songs from the New Testament" featuring Justin Roberts and Liam Davis is awesome!! It has a folksy sound to it, which pleases both mine and Andrew's ears'. My current fave is "Walking on the Lake". These songs are definately more updated than what we used to sing.....Anyone remember "Deep and Wide"??
So if you are tired of Baby Einstein music, you have to get a copy of this cd. I don't think you will regret it!!

I need to look into it. David loves loves loves music. There is one that is his favorite called Baby Praise worship songs. It has some relatively current worship songs on it. Try that one too.
I'll have to check that one out!
Definitely something to add to my registry! Might I also suggest these: www.rockabyebabymusic.com. They cracked me up! Especially the ACDC one... nothing like rocking your baby to sleep to "Highway to Hell"!
