So I have been anticipating my 10 year highschool reunion since, basically, I graduated highschool. And, it finally arrived this weekend. And, it was the most fun I have had in a long time!!
The last time I saw most of my classmates was when we graduated highschool--10 years ago! I think we were all nervous about seeing everyone again--what do you say? do you hug? will you get a chance to talk to everybody?, etc. Our class was always very close-knit and it showed Saturday night because we all just picked up where we left off ten years ago. We were all so fortunate to attend a small school where we not only knew everyone in our class, but we also knew their parents, siblings, birthdays, favorite food, etc!
I enjoyed talking to fellow blogger, Anna, who told me how to post pictures within a post....and I promise to figure that out this week!! She is such a wonderful mother, and she always leaves me the best advice on my comments. We tried to convince everyone to start a blog!!
It was great learning about what everyone has been doing since graduation: we are a class composed of teachers, nurses (lots of nurses!!), farmers, bank controllers, actors/actresses, medical salesmen, audiologists, personal trainers, web designers, soldiers, lawyers, managers, wives, mothers, husbands, daddies!! We live in Georgia, Florida, Alaska, California, Texas, New York, and one of our classmates is overseas in Korea (he is an army Ranger!).
I have known most of the people at our reunion longer than I have known Rob!! And, speaking of Rob, he once again was the model husband of the weekend. He hung out with my classmates and their husbands like he graduated with us! He was "working the crowd" as he introduced himself to everyone....I think he may have even told some that he was the class president, but he is not admitting anything! I was able to sleep late on Sunday, and Rob even watched Andrew while I went to the movies with a highschool friend on Sunday. He really was the best, as usual.
From 18 to 28, I know I have changed. And, it was great catching up on all the changes in my classmates lives. I really felt so proud of everyone in my class for all their accomplishments. We were, and still are, the best class to graduate from Westwood!!

Such class pride...You should get the most school spirited award!
Glad you had such a good time. What fun.
I totally agree. I told mom that it was like we picked up the conversation right where we left off. Joshua and I enjoyed it very much - I laughed so much that night and monday morning when I got Em's pics!!! Looks like Joshua and I got out of there just in time before we would have been looped in to stay for the long haul!! I hope it's not another 10 years before I see all those folks again...
