Andew loves his crib!! My wonderful Aunt M made his crib bedding, and it is a big hit with Andrew. After spending the night away, Andrew will get a big smile on his face when put in his crib and literally wallow in his crib. You can tell he misses his crib. He loves to rub the chenille bumpers and practice rolling over, rocking, and singing in his crib.
Lately, when I put him in his crib for naps, he thinks it is play time. He will play in his crib (by himself) for up to an hour. I will listen to him squeal, babble, sing, and rock before he will fall asleep. And, it is not because he is not tired. Oh no, he will be asleep in my arms, and his eyes will fly open as soon as he is in his head hits the mattress. As I am shutting the door, I can see his arms, feet, and blanket up in the air as he lets out a huge squeal of excitement!!
Earlier this week, I heard a strange clicking noise coming from his bedroom. I thought, "that sounds like he is chewing on the crib railing" (it is covered in hard plastic). As I peeked in his bedroom, sure enough, he had pulled himself up to his knees and was chewing on the railing. Then he saw me and laughed!!
To make a long story short, we promptly moved his mattress to the lowest setting. Now, when I find Andrew up from his nap, he is sitting up and babbling. Funny how he can go from his stomach to sitting up only in his crib. This feat cannot be replicated in the presence of his parents, of course!!

This makes me smile! My boys love their cribs too. We are blessed!
David always loved to play in his crib. He would sometimes fuss and I would try everything. Only his crib would settle him down.
How cute!
Allison loved her crib, too.
