What We're Talking About

"Oh no. Someone has a bloody nose and the baby is trapped in the bathroom." And that is how I ended my phone conversation with a friend. (Why is it everyone falls apart as soon as mama answers the phone?).

When I was pregnant with John Dixon, a friend insisted that life would get easier when #3 was 10 months old. And, honestly, the week that JD turned 10 months something clicked. It just started working....it actually got easier. Busier, yet easier. More physically demanding, but easier somehow. Maybe that is just how long it took our family to adjust to having a fifth person in our crew.

Now, don't get wrong, I said "easier" not easy. But you knew that right?

Andrew was leaning Spanish at his Mother's Morning Out this past year. At one point he declared, "Mama if I keep speaking so much Spanish, I'm gonna turn into a Spanish kid." He also wondered, "Mama we don't know if John Dixon is gonna speak English or Spanish cause he don't talk yet."

One more funny before I pop off to eat bon-bons, Ben informed me just the other day that I get "a point" for wiping his hiney. My guesstimates are Mommy: 1,258 Ben: 0.
