A Proper Vacation was had by All

Our proper vacay in Nashville was much needed and left both Rob and I rested and energized. We were able to sleep late and relax as well as take in some of the Nashville sights. The picture below was taken on the General Jackson Showboat. We enjoyed dinner and listened to Tina Turner, Elton John, and Elvis Presley impersonators! It was a bit cheesy, but....I like cheese!

We also toured Andrew Jackson's home (7th President). It was really amazing because the house has 90% of the original furniture, wall coverings, and floors. That stuff was OLD, ya'll!!
The original Grand Ole Opry auditorium was also spectacular. The Ryman Auditorium has such a neat history. Our final night, we went to the Grand Ole Opry for a show. The show was not necessarily our taste in music (old school southern gospel), but it was a fabulous experience.
The Gaylord Opryland Hotel was HUGE. I would have gotten lost every time I set foot outside my door. Thank goodness Rob has an astounding sense of direction. I just followed him everywhere. By the final day of our stay, he had even figured out shortcuts in this 52 acre hotel.

Looks like ya'll had fun. I'm so glad you got to go away for a while. It's nice to have the chance to miss your baby!
