Bible Study and Caramel Cake

My bible study group has started a study by Beth Moore. "A Heart Like His: Seeking the Heart of God Through a Study of David" seems like it is going to be wonderful. I am really excited about this study. And, this will be my first Beth Moore study. I have heard her studies are intense, and I am really looking forward to an in-depth study.

One another note..... last night, we had a few of Rob's work buddies over for dinner. When talking to one of the men, Rob and I realized that this man had never eaten and certainly never heard of Caramel Cake!! This is the third person (the first two being my parents in law!) that I know has not discovered the deliciousness that is Caramel Cake.

Growing up in South Georgia, Caramel Cake is a staple at Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, and funerals. Your dessert table is not complete until you have a Caramel Cake on display. People down here are known for making their Caramel Cakes. Recipe secrets are kept in the family, and a Caramel Cake can bring over one hundred dollars at a fundraising silent auction!

And, some people have never even heard of this dessert?! Maybe I will bake ( or even better, purchase from someone who actually knows how to bake this delicious dessert!) a Caramel Cake for my Bible Study next week. The two combined may make next Monday one of the best Monday's ever!!
